In the 25 years that Buckswood has been teaching English we have devised a syllabus that is second to none.
Each student receives a written and oral test on arrival and is then placed into 1 of 6 levels:
Beginner, Elementary, Pre- Intermediate, Intermediate, Post-Intermediate, Advanced
Each student receives a full comprehensive English support pack as part of the English programme.
Buckswood also offer a Trinity College London Spoken English Exam as part of the English syllabus.

The English syllabus
• Key Skills practice in speaking, listening, reading and writing
• Vocabulary input - new words and phrases
• Grammatical Structures - how the English language works
• Pronunciation - practicing the different sounds and stress patterns in the English language
• Functions - using communicative language in real life situations: buying something from a shop, asking the time,
• Project Work - ongoing creative group work such as designing a newspaper

 Link lessons - lessons related to the excursions and trips our students go on
